A sophisticated immersive laboratory exploring the dialogue between dance, singing, and guitar through a fully integrated 360º approach.

Designed for beginner to intermediate dancers, this multi-level experience transcends choreography, guiding you into a deeper, more authentic understanding of flamenco. Working alongside live music, you will learn to listen with intention, respond with sensitivity, and connect organically with el cante—whether you are building confidence or refining your artistic voice.

Under Irene’s direction, you will cultivate coordination, musicality, and a nuanced understanding of letras and traditional stage codes. With clarity and structure, you will progressively develop the ability to adapt, interpret, and improvise with precision and expressive freedom.

This is a carefully held space for inquiry, growth, and artistic expansion—where fear gives way to awareness, and technique evolves into personal expression.

Within this practical and theoretical experience, you will:

'La Artillería LAB®' is not just a workshop, it is a real transformation.

Our lessons:

TECHNIQUE

These classes focus not only on developing a wide range of footwork techniques, but also on body placement and the coordination between both. We work with different elements such as turns, marcajes, and, of course, a strong flamenco attitude. You will dive into the essential techniques needed to achieve clarity in your sound, as well as strength, speed, and musicality. Through targeted exercises practiced at different tempos, you will improve your zapateado and gain the tools to start creating your own steps. We also place great emphasis on body awareness and control, helping you feel more confident, connected, and expressive in your dancing.

DANCE WITH "FALDA"

In this special and fun lesson we will focus on the use of the skirt as a key element of female baile and on the techniques that make its movement natural and fluid. Knowing how to use it in the various 'palos' is fundamental: the skirt becomes an extension of the body, a tool of expression that must be dominated with elegance, awareness and with Art... just like in the best tablaos of Seville!

MANTÓN

In this lesson we will work on the technique and coordination of one of the most iconic accessories of flamenco baile: the mantón. Through specific exercises, we will learn how to control it and move it with grace and flamencura, developing fluidity, strength, and expressiveness. All the material will then be applied to a short choreography. An intense and fascinating lesson designed to refine technique, musicality, and elegance in baile through the powerful language of the mantón.

CHOREOGRAPHY

In these classes, we apply the techniques needed to build and perform a choreography based on a chosen 'palo flamenco'. We work on sequences and specific tools to help you memorize them effectively, always with a clear awareness of the different sections of the choreography as you dance. We also focus on the unique character of each style, exploring its rhythm, intention, and emotional quality, so you can bring the right vibe and authentic flavour to your performance. This is a class that goes beyond simply learning choreography — it’s an invitation to discover the true intention behind each 'palo'.

COMPÁS, PITOS Y PALMAS

This is a special class dedicated to discovering the rich world of flamenco percussion created with your own body—beyond footwork. Through palmas (handclaps), pitos (finger snaps), and other rhythmic elements, you’ll learn how to produce clear, powerful, and nuanced sounds while improving your technique and musical precision. In a fun and dynamic environment, we’ll explore different rhythms across various palos, helping you internalize compás and develop a deeper connection to the music. Step by step, you’ll gain control, coordination, and confidence, transforming your body into a true flamenco instrument.
